Jamie was swingin' round the paper of an old book stand
wonderin' why all the pages are yellow memories
with a strong black hand
and no one cares.
Ted was walking on the other side
with a sweet and colorful praline
asking himself, like a child turns man,
how something so good
can be so hard.

What we got is what we let
have a place in our minds.
Where have u been for this long time?
Now I got it in my bag.

At the corner they look at the same bright light
try to catch that old red stone
and the old man said to them “don't you worry about it,
everybody's got one
to carry on.”
They went down to yellow quite bay,
dangling them feet over the dock
thinking about where, after winter, the snow goes,
bringing with her
black eyes and cold.

Hand in hand they went down to the wild forest back
and sat down in a bed of snow
waiting for the winter's end,
they fell asleep and then,
they faded away.
